Today is the same as my yesterday, which is the same as my tomorrow. We worker ants thrive on consistency.
Every day, I leave the commune to secure food and carry it back. I carry dirt when we need to expand our underground community. I carry the fallen bodies of my comrades when their time has ended. Day in, day out, I carry.
My goal is survival for my community and not necessarily myself. The goals and needs of the whole group are more important than my individual safety. Should I not return, there will be another to take my place, and life for my fellow ants will continue as before.
Until that day occurs, I continue to carry.
